having a hard time seeing this as the killer of so many fish.

unless that mouth is HUGE, that looks to be only ~2-3" across? kinda doubt that your fish is getting eaten by the nem.

In how long of a period did the killing take place? Was it all at once or over a few weeks? Also did the dead fish look all slimy and half decomposed or were they just dead?

I am with Jeff thinking It seems unlikely your bubble is killing the fish. Every time I've had a nem eat a fish I never saw it again. Unless the fish was way to big for the nem to fit it in its mouth. But the one time I did have a nem spit out food it was way to big for it and was covered in a mucus membrane.

the kohl tang was demolished... there was bones and the parts of the tail remaining but the cuc were walking around with it at the bottom of the tank. The royal gramma I haven't seen in 2 weeks. The flame angel was just dead, but there were marks on the side of it, which made me think it went by the nem a little to closely.

I don't think its the nem to b honest. I'm leaning towards some type of predator. Do u have any emerald crabs? But in the back of my head I'm hoping u don't have a mantis shrimp. Do u even here a load popping in your place that can't be explained for? The popping would sound like a 22 going off under water.

Can u list the rest of your live stock.

wait, so did you actually see your nem eating one of the fish? or is the nem just your most likely suspect?

Nem most likely suspect. Never saw it with a fish in its mouth. After I saw the flame angel dead, I grabbed it with tongs and placed it in the nems grip. It took it in and ate some of it.

bta cant really kill and eat a live healthy fish, they can however eat a dead or dieing fish.
id like to see a fish nice and healthy swim next to one and have it ''grab'' and kill it lol, but i dont think i will ever see it.
some other nems like carpet's now that is a different story they can kill any fish that gets to close.

Now I've never had a bubble kill a fish but my sohal got tagged by an inferno and took off all the coloration on the sohals tail. Witch lasted a month or so. But google "bubble tip ate my fish" wait ill do it for u

sure it can happen when the dead fish floats into the bta. or the clown is pulling the dead fish to it. i heard of carpets doing it. but never bta do it themselves.
