Hi ,
So I thought I'd move my question to the correct forum.. My female Mandy has kind of suddenly become very rough looking. Almost looks like rough skinned and fins are raggedy. Have ruled out water quality issues.. And other Mandy , both firefish and all the Seahorses are fine. Nobody picks on her at all..
Any ideas? Here is a kindof bad pic, but Ive tried all day and it's the best I can do so far

Mandarins are tough, even tougher to treat :/ They're very sensitive to medication. My boy was sick a few months ago. A couple of my tangs had ich and I was reluctant to treat the ich in fear of killing the mandarin. Once he got sick and though he was a finner for sure, so I trated the tank with Hikari Ich X and it ended up saving his life. He had already stopped eating for a couple days by the time I started treating. He had some "sheshedding skin" As well as very pale color. The Ich X is reef safe as far as that goes, but I usually with just over a half dose. Wish I could be more help.

The medication is just called Ich X. It treats a few different diseases though. It's a small dose of formaldehyde. Might be worth setting up a small qt. For a mandarin you count get away with a 1 or 2 gallon and just use the old water from a small water change. It's worth trying. I'd she still eating?
