So much for a turn around even after all these months. My tank has be declining, and been bad this week. Lots of my sps, including my purple monster is a goner. I still have a few corals left that still looks good. Anybody willing to watch these corals for me, until my tank is stable again? These corals includes, blue milli colony, oregon tort frag, etc.... Not sure what to do at the moment....I have done water changes and tested for everything. :bawling:

Mike,

sorry to hear about the issue. If your doing WC and testing for stuff in the water. Not sure what it might be myself but some idea comes to mind stray electricity? Are you only losing your sps or lps, softie, fish, IE other stuff too?

hey mikee, I have no clue... i know how frustrating it is to see something die, and not know why, and wonder about the next piece then teh next...

Are the pieces that are dieing or in decline, relatively new, what was the last sps you added, and from where..

Any other commonalities???

I would hold your stuff for you, but geography is working against us. That plus I am not sure what risk is involved in putting your corals with an unknown issue going on into my tank... although I would in a heart beat, but it is a thought...

MY QT is not set up for corals, not enough light..

Best wishes though, it must be tough to go through the ups and downs of this situation...

hey mike, sorry to hear bro.

post your tank specs again, at this point if all has failed I would say start over, have someone host your corals. drain the tank, pull your sand, pull your rock and start fresh, maybe add a few pieces of uncured rock to kickstart a cycle.

start' her up again, i can give you some cuttings... when the time comes, especially if you come to the MASVC frag swap, there will be plenty there

geez. 90 gallons, don't you think that this will disturb your tanks natural micro fauna and cause more damage?

I have read some that support very large water changes...

I think it Anthony Calfo that does 90 percent changes, and he runs skimmerless..

I did a 50%+ change on my 115g once when I was having montis die off. Helped the situation and didn't seem to hurt anyhting else. 90 isn't that much more % on a 150. I think it would be ok. Heck, I even did mine using *gasp* tap water :ahhhhh:

So whatever happened to all the corals? Hope things turned around for the better.
I probably still have about 50% of my sps left. I had about 50-60 frags-colonies. Things seem to be stablizing a little bit or dieing slower:( The 60 gallon water change help. Im probably going to do another big water change with NSW soon.

Well, it's good to hear that at least it's either slowing down or have stopped. Sometimes, we just simply figure out the whys if our lives depended on it. I had a crash in my 30 about a year ago that took out maybe $1500-$2000 of LE corals and I never found out why =(
