Well I got my gyre today thanks to ellis aquatics. I knew preordering was a bad Idea for me. Some of you will wait for your pumps!

As of now it's still in my car and i will do an unboxing video tonight.

I will show you where I will mount it and initial review and hen I will move it to the other side of my tank and review it there.

Happy reefing everyone. All input is welcome!

Each place that got a shipment of gyres form coralvue was given a list of pre-orders in there market. They r suppose to fill the pre-orders first then sell any that r left over. Had a long talk to Lindsey about this topic today and how coralvue will take action.

speaking as only a consumer... "F" coralvue lol

And I would have went with ANY LFS that had them first if I would have known they had them. Jason actually hit me up letting me know he had it and I picked it up right away.

I really want one of these but I think it's too much for my tank (trying to get everything together to put together a 65 tall). :(

Steve, us know what you think of the noise level. I find it meeeeeeeh...
My mp40s are super loud now. I don't know why. Maybe I need to replace the bearings. So as long as it doesn't add more noise to the loud mp40s I don't mind

Ok so finally got time to open the box..

I really like the black metal case. Good form. I also enjoy popcorn tins at Christmas time so I'm very happy lol

The remote came with a mountable clip. I didn't like that the cord from the gyre is only 6ft long. I guess I can't expect too much but I wish it was longer as I want it to reach the other side of my tank and still mount the controller with the mp40 controllers. As you see the wire for the gyre meets the controller right away.

The gyre comes with spare "spinners?"

Good because I can just swap them out and clean them at a later time without having the pump out of commission

Bad because if it already comes with spares I feel like it's going to get clogged fast. I'm already tired of he WP25 I have that doesn't perform well unless it's freshly cleaned.

Also bad... I don't like how light and cheap they feel. This is what I held at rap and it just feels real cheap.
