Skimmer Question

hey daniel,
my g4 also skims wet, but I think if you put on the gate valve mod, you will be able to dial it in much easier, actually the gate valve makes fine tuning a pleasure, vs raising or lowering or slipping a quarter an inch, you can turn the knob a bit with no fears of going to far or not enough.
Anyways, also, check to see how low inthe water the reactor should sit, mine sits 8-12 inches into the water. Verify how deep yop need to be and get it to that area, and fine tune up and down will help you out also..

If you do need to raise your skimmer up, a cool way to do it is with egg crate. the added bonus to this is that if you can slow down the flow, and limit the light going underneath the skimmer you can create a benthic zone with is a great place for little critters to grow that polish your water. so skimmer works better and you get some natural filtration!

I chose the otehr route, divorce, fight like hell in court, get screwed by the courts, then have the ex roll over and give me custody after child support was calculated.
I have had major custody for the last almost ten years.
Anyone that knows me and my situation knows the ex was gold digging HARD and used the courts to get what she wanted and the courts fell in line as expected, SIDES with teh women, while claiming they are being fair and all things being equal... Go figure.
Anyways, as fate would have it, situations do change, and for the alst five years and for the next 5 yars or so, my ex pays me child support...

i been divorced for more then ten years now, and the daughter is 14 now and is realizing that I have been the one parent that has gone out of my way to try to accomidate her. My ex is always tired, and never drops off or picks up, it is always me. I take her to all the doctors appts, I go to all the events, pta, open houses, scholl plays... The ex is always tired...
Now it is just so automatic that my daughter stays here for days and weeks on end, til she realizes she hasnt seen her mom for a while, then she goes over there for a night or two..
Anyways, I knew what I was getting into when I effed the woman, and it was planned for at the time we concieved. Which was after several years of marriage and courtship... The only thing I got wrong, was that Ibelieved her when we talked aobut each iof our brother and sisters and how they got divorced and used the kids as pawns...
I fell for that hook line and sinker... That was the first thing she did was try to file a restraining order against me, which the courts did not grant, (She got eh original TEMPORARY order but failed to prevail in the following hearing... Oh well, that was the last time I got a victory in court...

i wake up proud and happy everyday, except now that she is in puberty.... Things are DIFFERENT
She is a bigger know it all then I am , and you cant have to cockeyed genius' in the same house...
I am learning how to deal with her, is like others learning how to deal with me.
Seems like god does havea sense of humor...
