skimmer, return pump question

Got a question guys on my setup my sump only has 2 chambers my skimmer is in the same chamber as my return and for some reason im getting way more bubbles in my dt than ever before any ideas how to cut down on the bubbles.

Skimmer make bubbles... There is a reason people have 3-4chambers. Skimmer usually located at first chamber if there is room.

Do you have a filter sock? I've noticed when I put new socks in the sump my skimmer goes bezerk for a bit.

Yea I just put a clean one in lol. Im aware of what each chamber is used for my paticular sump has only 2 and cant fit skimmer in the first. Thanks saktek

Usually the skimmer should be where the drain is. Do u have room to put it in that same chamber?

Not sure how big your tank is, but maybe a hob skimmer would work to give you more clearance.

Try making a bubble trap or put a filter sock on the drain pipe for the protein skimmer

Just put a drawstring filter sock on the protein skimmer drain, it cost $5
