Careful if ur looking at ATB, they size their skimmers kinda differently. Bubble King says my skimmer is rated for 350 gallons, ATBs 350g rated skimmer is like half the size of my skimmer. Either bubble King under rates their skimmers, or ATB over rates theirs. If u want a BK250, I would look at the atb 12.5. Not bashing ATB, just don't agree with their skimmer rating.

Yeah a lot of companies do... i have a nac9 now which works good but they rate it for 500 light load- 385 heavy and I don't think it can do that. I'd say maybe 350 light and 200 or so heavy.

I think most everyone over rates their skimmers, just research reviews for what you need

I had the atb 1050a. It's rated for 530 gallons and with my 230(total volume) i couldn't get it to skim properly. It was too much skimmer.

only people that talk ish about atb are people that never owned one...i know because i was one of those people...lol...swore by bk..then got an atb and said "dam, so skimmers can be dead silent and skim like crazy too? i will never go back to anything else for the foreseeable future"...and now that noah has converted to being a man and has an atb..he feels the same way.
