Hey guys,

I know the swap is free and everyone is invited, and that it's a potluck so bring food and don't be a mooch.

But does anyone know if you have to sign-up with someone associated w/ throwing the Swap to secure a location to setup equipment if you're bringing display tanks / tons of frags etc. or is first come first serve. I've listed myself on the RC thread but haven't been able to find a definitive answer in the 20 some odd pages of the thread and haven't been able to get ahold of SniperSPS to ask... hopefully they'll finish their hourly maintenance soon and I can try pm'ing him again.

WOOHOO!!! What a spread. Everyone brought such great frags and food. Thanks so much Hugo for the hospitality. It was great putting some faces with names, though I know there are still many that I missed. I will be sure to continue to come to this event.....what a blast! :thrasher:

It seems like lots more people this year than last year. I went last year too.

But this year...it seems like LESS people buying corals. I saw lots of frag tanks still full of corals even at 4 PM. It may be the economy has the big impact in this hobby.

Yeah I noticed that too.. in San Diego we always have too many buyers and never enough people selling, and on top of that those that are buying are all looking for low end coral.

Today we had tons of excellent reefers with beautiful coral and no one to sell it to! Even so I came home with some amazing coral and was able to trade off alot of stuff I was hoping to get rid of (Note: was planning to spend the money on the stuff I traded to buy more coral.. so I just skipped a step!)

Even so this was one of the better swaps I've been to by far lately. My undying thanks to Hugo and everyone else who helped to make this happen and a special thanks to Kevin Adams for hooking a bunch of us up with his extra equipment. <subliminal message>GO TO MAX NEXT YEAR</subliminal message>
