So my rose split....

so a couple of nights ago a rock fell on my RBTA, and then i removed the rock, and then it walked into a cave and the next morning i had 2!:laugh:

So my question is what are some do's and don't's about keeping these?

don't drop rocks on them! but i guess it worked ok for you. well lots of light is good, medium flow, they will move around, so until they find their happy spot give them space so they don't sting your other corals. i feed mine shrimp 1-2 times a week, feeding it will help it grow, and split more.

congratulations on the baby. Just feed every once in a while and they should split even more for you. They like light and medium flow.

in my personal experience, I rarely feed my roses. But they split like crazy. Maybe I just have a rare strain.

Yep, i should get first dibs. I called them way back when i first trade that rose to you remember lol. "when it splits, i want one back" lol. It looks better though then what you told me. Thats why i loved that one more then any others ive seen before, it is such a nice red that even when it loses color it looks amazing!!!

no, don't feed them right after a split, especially a forced one. let the mouth reform and move to the center before feeding.

Yep, i mean, im even jealous of myself lol. Na, this will be the second baby rbta from this one that was cause by an accident, the first one was from a powerhead...stupid seio, then he went in your hands and you go chucking rocks at him....
