solar bill scare!

SO I got a my march bill and it was $2800 dollars from edison, obviously I almost had stroke when I saw that email. Apparrently I had been reading my bill wrong, the emails that were showing up as credit was actually from the billing period before we activated the solar as a credit for the past months not being on the solar plan. Had I opened the PDF I would have seen our actual usage. I also found out that we get billed annually with solar and that's why we were never billed. I guess I should have looked at my bank account and to see if I was getting withdrawls from Edsion. I need a bigger solar system!

Yeah your bill will be different. The monthly charge you see on page 1 is just the connection fee and tax, should just be a buck or 2. The actual usage is on page 4. That's the page you should be concerned with. In the winter you should have some usage but in the summer you should be getting credits. You shouldn't have to be paying anything at the end of the year. Your system needs to be bigger

I fell into that trap too. Didn't know I was building up a balance until November when it was due. I have a 3kw system that doesn't cover my house entirely. But that was the biggest system I could get on my house.

yah and I got away from using my real name.. I charge my car too so that's why my bill is up there. I just have to remember I haven't fill up gas in my car since fall.

Well this just ruined my day. Just checked my bill $2669. I didn't realize either that the bill would now be annual. This is what I feel like.

2800/12 is about 233 a month. What was your bill before solar?

Mine is about the same.... right now at around 2,800. I oay monthly so it looks like I'm ahead that much. Mine use to be $350-$400. Now $250-300 but I also added an electric car.
