is it possible to run my tank using a small solar kit? i have a 28 jbj nano im thinking of maybe just powering my lights which are 24x3watt leds im thinking of running maybe 36 down the line. i want to run them for a minimum of 8 hrs a day from 2-10 or max 12-10 will a 100 watt solar panel be overkill or not enough?

Thing with solar is it is not 24hr power. When the sun is out it produces... When no sun= no power. So you may e able to get it wired or whatever to your tank when night falls you still need it plugged into your wall outlet.

i was thinking of using a couple of deep cycle batteries to have it continue running when the sun goes down, just down know how many batteries i would need or if a 12v might be enough.
