something killed my clown and scooter?!?!

hi, i recently notice there is this small white creature about 1-2mm long swimming in my tank. its back is slight bend and it loves hiding inside rocks and my tank cleaner. i saw that thing leach onto my scooter and my scooter died the next day. then my clown died the following day with no since of illness. it literally just died. when i try to net the body of the clown out, i saw this white bastard swimming out of the clowns body. just wondering if anyone have any clues what it is and how to get rid of it.

1-2 mm long? How did you even see it???

is it like a white wriggly worm? i had a fish die off one time, and the only thing in my tank i had never seen before was a little white worm. i figured it must be a type of parasite, i got it out of the tank, and the fish stopped dying. same symptoms, fine in the morning, dead in the afternoon.

well, it wasnt exactly 1-2 mm....maybe more like 3-4mm with second thought. I rarely see this thing but eveytime i do, is not good. let me see if i can find anything similar on the web and maybe i can post a link. it is more like a transparent brine shrimp with a shell.....and the shell comes off ones a while.

if its that, then you are just looking at pods, i have lots of those small shrimp looking pods, they are harmless, and food for some fish.

hmmmmmmmm...then i can only say that my clown probably had a heart attack........i guess i dont have to worry about getting new fish. yay!!!

Well you should still try and figure out what killed him? Are your levels good, etc etc....
