Hey, I was talking to a fellow reefer awhile back and he said that he split his anemone by leaving it in a bucket overnight... he said the temperature change overnight caused the anemone to split due to stress... I think he said he has done it twice with success... anybody ever try this?

Honestly I wouldn't cause stress to Make it split... Let it do it naturally. Also people have had them split from feeding them. Try to stay away from stress as much as possible.

Mine have split after a temp spike in the tank. Bad idea imho to stress them to split. Agree with previous about feeding. Feed it every day and it'll split for you.

I used a chisel last week on some rock that I bought with one on it to make the rock smaller. I accidentally sliced it right in half. It was by accident but it did happen to split right through the mouth. Both are doing well. I could have easily damaged them I just got lucky.
