A couple of pics from today:

skinny pearlberry (yes I made that up, in fact about 5 minutes ago)

reef tek starburst

Red hyacinth (kinda like the red planet, less deep coloration and more like a light pink/red and no green)

Mr Pacman ( sold to me as a 1/4 inch frag for I think like $60 bucks, still coloring up nicely)

Super fluorescent pink millie ( spreading its wings, so to speak)

bright flourescent green acro from reef raft (kind of has blue tips but only if you squint and use your imagination)

darth maul prorites (I have no idea how to spell any of that)

very cool chalice, no name

baby blue tenuis ( I think it is a tennis but not really sure, maybe I should call it a baby blue acro, that's safer)

Aquamarine jewel (trimmed a little but coloring up pretty mightily--is mightily a word, not sure)

My Tank Build
The mr. pacman acro is one of my favorites. In lower light I have been able to get more pink/red in the base color. the yellow tips are not as pronounced though. I love the stock photo for it

Do you have any updated pics on this acro, did it survive?
That is my last wild colony purchase I hope. It has gone where about 80% of my wild colonies have gone; to that big reef tank in the sky ( or local garbage dump--your choice). I think that pastel yellow is a sure sign of impending doom, but it is so darn pretty and alluring.

Hey and why is my mr pacman not all colored up like the stock photo. Is it a question of time or do I not really have mr pacman after all. You know though, my colony is still pretty--no regrets Well maybe a few but not a lot

I just updated my lighting and I am doing some redecorating and rearranging of sps colonies. Now that I have started, I do not recommend it to anyone. All those filled up spaces, and now a bunch of young frags. I trimmed out a handful of colonies to hopefully have them replaced with prettier ones, atleast that is what I hope. Another couple of years and it should look perfect!!

So, tonite I took a bunch of lps pictures. I have a lot of lps for an sps dominant tank. These are not all my lps but to follow are 28 different colonies. I like watermelon chalices and mummy eyes so there are a bunch of different variants, but each picture to follow is of a different and unique colony.

ok, a couple more
Is this the tec watermelon??

Outrageous blue body

this is called a cotton candy chalice. I have it in too much light which I kinda of like--the extra light is from my super cool new lights

a no-namer that is more orangy than the picture and it gets a whitish rim which always makes me worry it is not well but that is just the way it grows

My pink boobie colony and it is really huge.

Lets see pics of ur new light. I think u said u were gunna post some a week ago.

Also how's that Santa Monica algae scrubber working. I already sold mine. Didn't work like I wanted it too. I don't see how that little thing would pull out enough nutrients to accomplish anything in a big tank like ours. Seems like u would need 10 of them to actually notice something.

A couple of changes going on with my tank. I changed the lighting, I changed power heads , I wanted to change out some acros for more interesting ones and I had one colony rtn after two years and another half rtn. The two colonies that went south on me, may have been responding to the light change, powerhead change or rise in phosphates, not really sure. But that was very disappointing I learned another lesson, do not try to remove esblished colonies and put frags in their place. It makes the tank look a little yucky. After everything was filling in pretty dense as well, I now have some bare spots. It's exciting placing new frags and hopefully very colorful ones, but the bald spots are hard to take. Well a couple more years and it will be all perfect once again

Vivid's tri color prostrate (a Monti was doing battle with it so its been beaten up a bit)

Ult rainbow acro ( new lighting is making my color rendition off slightly but working it out)

Tyree rouge Millie
