Hi, I just got my latest electric bill and OMG. Started an 80 gallon in the garage with two 250 metal 14k. Moved the corals to my 150 gallon in the house with two 96pc and two 175 metal 10k. The corals don't seem to be doing anything. Its only been two days. Do I need to put more light on them. Or do they need to acclimate to the new environment.

With all due respect, your statement is a bit vague.
What do you mean the corals aren't doing anything?
What kind of corals do you have? What are they supposed to be doing?

I don't know what kind of acropora there are about 10 different kinds. When they were in the other tank they all had small blooms that came out. Now that isn't occurring. And for some reason a couple have green hair algae them.

it doesnt like your tank parameters where you put them. If they start to bleach its down hill. Otherwise i would put them back in the other tank where they like the water. Sps are finicky, if they dont like the tank then they'll die. Signs of a future death is stn and bleaching and no polyp extension.

What do you mean the corals did not do anything in two days? It usually take two months before you notice any growth. Pictures would help.

If you think $450 is high then don't be too shocked when your summer bills arrive. I dread my summer bills

The alk will drop on itself, but it will take some time.
You can do water change, but make sure the alk in the new water is lower than the water in the tank.

They are opening a little at night. I am using their behavior in the other tank as a base. Where the polyps were out all the time. Yes, some of them had algae on them. All of these corals were in a tank I recently acquired ( moved and re-setup) As a result of the re-setup there was new green hair algae. The corals weren't in the greatest shape when I got them, but you could see they were coming back to health. After I made some changes to the previous owners setup. When I moved them to another tank I put a Korilia in their direction and the algae is pretty much gone. But now there is little polyp extension and I can tell they aren't as happy.
