This thread it not about how to get rid of the aefw but to see how many of our tanks get infected with this worm and be honest!

I just went threw a 4 1/2 month drought with no SPS because of AEFW, I literally lost over $5,000, I removed all my Acro because I sell them and I wouldnt feel right selling infested Acros! When I removed them I left nubs on the rock to see if I got rid of them, low and behold I learned that they lay their egg on the base of the acro, because my nubs are full sprouting WooooHoooo So I picked up some Killer Acros heres iphone pics

And here frags I just picked up today

Sorry for the blurry iPhone pics I have a professional coming tomorrow night and I’ll post a share thread

I have been in the hobby for 18 years. Had SPS 15 or so of those. I have never had AEFW. I have also never had ich in a display tank. QT yes, but never in a display.

I do QT everything. I am pretty vigilant about it. I am also very lucky.

I have had plenty of other problems. Just not that one.

I did have regular flatworms a few times but after the second or third time really fell in love with wrasses so, there went that. Not sure if there is a biological solution for AEFW. I have never researched it.

This hobby is tough sometimes. Stick with it.

Theres only one true known way to remove AEFW is to starve them some say 3 months some say more I recommend 4 1/2 month to 6 months its proven! I wouldnt trust anything just yet, we'll see in the future.
