I know a lot of guys get LEDs from him, but has anyone actually purchased one of the kits? I'm looking around at different lights for my 50 gallon cube.

I've never purchased a kit, seems expensive the way he puts it all together. There's always something that is more expensive. You can find a perfect heat sink from carriers like heat sink USA for a lot cheaper and a custom size that would be perfect for your tank.

If you really want to save money you can even use u-channel rails. Just be prepared to add fans if the fixture runs hot

I don't like his drivers. I've always used meanwell drivers and always had good luck with them. Still yet to have one go out. Order the LEDs from him, and get your drivers elsewhere.

Look into the LDD drivers, they seem like the way to go. (Unless u have an apex, then I still like the ELN series)

I bought the small sps kit years ago. Worked well, drivers still work to this day but are a bit over priced for what they are. To many parts considering the options there are today
