Still like MH, so decided to build this Light Rack.

as all we know some corals look nicer under MH's than under led's, so wanted to build a 2x 250w MH & 4x39w T5 fixture, here are some pics

2 used lumenmax elite reflectors

Reflectors with 80/20 aluminum slot frame

Mounting T5's endcaps

Mounting the T5 Ballasts on the 80/20 slot with some nylon spacers

up and running

No pics of the wiring process cuz was one of the hardest and frustrating part of this build since i don't really like to read instructions and diagrams :D

Jorge, do you know offhand if it matters how the bulbs are oriented on those lumenmax? In the pictures your bulbs are in line with the front of the tank, would it matter if they were perpendicular to the front panel instead?

Yes I does matter but where he is planing on uses the light because I the dim it really doesn't make a difference.

If money were no object, I'd run that along with a chiller. Looks good Jorge. What are going to grow under it? "medical marijuana"? :)

I believe the bulbs are suppose to be perpendicular for spread.

I dont think it will make any difference since its on a 48x48" footprint tank

Can I get a FTS to see how they look?
tried a true. cant go wrong there. FTS please.

Dig this setup. Great work brother.
Thanks Rob!

Btw why not use them on ur display Jorge jay mija! Lol

i dont think i need a chillers since ill be using it just on winter time and for summer ill hang a 8x39w ATI fixture, medical marijuana, not bad idea, at least people wont complaint about the price LOL

Should have been 400 watt..but nice try..just messing good job.
Now don't hold us in suspense where is that bad boy going to hang over.
actually will be on a 48x48x12" tub 400w will be too much since i only have 10" water surface

I just looked at a bunch of PAR maps for lumen max, it's the same either way.
yes, no big dif on the spread surface
