Hey, I currently have a small pair of false perc clowns, a clown goby, a green chromis, and a flame angel in my 40g tank. Would I be pushing it if I added another fish?

Thanks in advance for any opinions.

Depends on the fish you plan on adding, the amount of rock you have, and how easy it is to control your nitrates. If you have enough hiding places, swimming room and your nitrates are easy to control then I would say add another fish. Provided its not a fish that requires more than 20-30 gallons.

Thanks for the reply. Nitrates have been a steady 0 with my current maintenance routine. Let's see if the angelfish "allows" me to add anything else.

This! I have a 40g with 1 Ocellaris and 1 Leopard Wrasse. In my QT I have a boy-toy Ocellaris for my lady Ocellaris and a Splendid Dottyback. I'm only planning on adding 1 more fish which is a Midas Blenny. After that, the books are closed on fish.

Good luck and post pics when you get it!

I have a 40 breeder and I currently have a watchman goby, Male lyretail, and a small yellow corris wrasse. I want to add 2 or 3 female lyretails. Am I wrong? Yes, but I can! Bwa ha ha!

Hey Omar I personally get rid of the Midas blenny in your lists. They get very territorial and hardly graze on algae. Just from experience.
