I'm seeing some strange fungus sponge like growth on the underside of my clam. Should I clean it off with a brush or something. Clam fully extends, doesn't seem like its unhappy. Thanks in advance

Directly right of its shell. Like a fungus growth. The foot is attached to a rock. See the top picture of the left side of his shell vs the right side. When he opens up the right side of the shell gets no light that's why I said "under side". Sorry for confusing y'all. But yea I'm unsure of what's growing on the right side of his shell

if it's a sponge its from over feeding the tank right? Maybe cut back on the feeding and remove what you can and see if it comes back?

I'm gonna go with a sponge or some sort if it's growing on the side with little light.
It is on the side that gets little light. The left side gets a lot of light and the shell is clean. So stop over feeding? If it's harmless I'll just leave it. Don't wanna take him out the tank to clean if I don't have to
