Hello everybody, my name is Tevin and I am a college student currently attending UC Riverside. My old man bought his fish tank two to three years ago on a whim. He didn't know what he was getting himself into so we realized what he bought wasn't the greatest setup. Recently, after coming back from college to maintain the tank for my old man, I saw that the sub tank had some cracks and was slowly leaking. I think this is a great opportunity to get a proper subtank with a refugium and such. May someone recommend me a place where I can custom order a subtank with good quality? Thank you!

What do you mean by subtank? Seaside tropical in HB has really good deals on brand new vizio tanks last time I got a quote.

He's talking about a sump. Talk to John at advanced acrylics. They make some of the best I have seen. Lots of people on this site use Them.

You might consider just buying an inexpensive tank and having some baffles cut to fit. Then silicone them in place and you got yourself a nice custom subtank for a reasonable price. When I've looked around for sumps, I've always found them to not be layed out the way that I wanted or the wrong dimensions. The ready made ones are on the expensive side for what you get. Just food for thought. I know that the DIY aspect is not for everybody.

Thanks, Playa. I'll consider doing that, choosing a slump is more stressful than I thought. Building it sounds like the way to go.
