What lighting do you guys use for your sump nowadays? Looking for LED sump light similar to kessil, any recommendation would be greatly appreciated.

You can find blue and red LED grow lights in all sorts of configurations very inexpensive on Amazon for a fraction($30) of the Kessel and they work better in my experience.

I agree with laverda. Just search for par38 grow light and they'll pop up. Or look for a LED flood around the 5500k-6500k if you prefer a white look

I only see par38 bulbs, I guess I have to get one of those clip on light pendant. What wattage would I need for 18” x 7” sump?

I have the tunz under water to help heat the aquarium with this cold weather. Really grows algae well, versus the eBay led light I had on previously. I’d happy with it and it looks clean

Search for clamp on red blue LED grow lights on Amazon. It does not need to be a par 38. I use the square ones with hanging chains on that page. I removed the chains and screwd mine directly to the undersind of my stand.

I use black box style 300w hydroponics led lights. Keep in mind. You must provide intense lighting to your refugium if you want to outcompete the intense light in your display.
