Ok, I get why having different bulbs yields different results regarding coral growth and coloration. I just don't understand why the arrangement matters. If I have a 4 bulb fixture with 4 BP, 1CP, 1 PP, why would it matter if I arrange PB, BP, CP, PP, BP, BP from front to back or what ever the pattern is. Any thoughts?

Do you mean 6 bulb fixture? I think it has to do with the spread and intensity of that bulb on specific area. White bulbs and purples tend to by in the middle-front of the tank because thats where most people have their corals. If you had the daylight all the way in the back row the front of the tank wouldnt be getting that much light or less intense from that bulb.
