attacks food so violently im never letting him loose in the DT

99. Moorish Idol (close relative to Tangs, yet pretty much the tank b**ch)

Only had a Purple and a hippo, the PT was/ is a total biotch. I have named her Ms. Nasty, but I have had he almost 10 years so she gets to stay.

I had one Blue Hippo and it was very friendly...

It all depends on the fish itself, I have a 2'' powder brown tang, pick on my 5 1/2'' powder blue tang, and almost killed it, till I remove her! each fish has different tempers!

It all depends on the fish itself...each fish has different tempers!

Prob depends on many things, individual personality like what you said, fish size, age, who was in first, etc...

But IN GENERAL, some tangs are more aggressive than others...

On Discovery channel I saw a reef where a school of hundreds of convict tangs was chased off by a dozen powder blues... I guess my PBT represented well...

So, list your tales of the tangs if you got them...

1-3 currently in same tank. I think it helped since I added them all at the same time. There is bickering often, but it's just quick flashing and everyone does their own thing right afterwards. I have two nori clips and feed heavily. Hope to upgrade soon.

My 3inch sohal is beating up my 3inch clown trigger. Clownny eats goldfish mercilessly, but cant stand up to my sohal.

each fish cost over $100, but someone has to go!

Just to update my posting, the Yellow Tang has become so aggressive that the Powder Blue needed to be put in a QT tank for safety, so once the Powder Blue is back to full health, the Yellow is going to a new home.
