Ive got a 125 gallon that I want to go back to freshwater with. Ill be travelling a bunch over the next 2 years so Ive sold my prized 55g coral reef and now want to sell the contents of my fish only tank.

Its got over 100lbs of live rock (could be 150lbs- no idea but the tank is pretty full). 3 large lace rock cured base pieces, one large branching tonga piece and the rest is top grade 9 bucks a pound from Seaside in Huntington Beach. It was low light so most of the coraline has faded overall but the rock is cured and obviously seeded.

3 inches of live sand. And the buyer must take EVERYTHING! Theres live rock in the back filter section for goodness sake..(built in wet dry tank)

The fish-

1 pair of flashing tilefish- watch the video CRAZY CRAZY rare (the fish in the vid is NOT mine). 4 inches+ super healthy and happy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnuBvBB1v_k

1 pair of pseudochromis fridmani

1 watchman goby

1 bicolor blenny

1 hawkfish

1 Amblyeleotris aurora (pink bar goby)

2 cleaner shrimp

3 or 4 tiger pistol shrimp

1 flame scallop

A few zoos and mushrooms on a couple rocks but nothing to get excited about.

Im asking 700 FIRM. You come and get everything- and I mean EVERYTHING. Im in Newport Beach near PCH.

Im selling my babies and these are NOT stressed sales. I got exactly what I wanted for my other prized tank because Im meticulous and use DISTILLED water in BOTH tanks. Yes this 125 has ONLY had my hand brewed distilled water in it. Im obsessive... And thats expensive... But its the BEST way possible if you address the PH issue. So know these come from a very spoiled environment! And Im ONLY selling, again, because I wont be around enough to keep up the tanks. Freshwater (planted dense like Amano) will take care of itself... With less color...

Regardless of buyers- PLEASE watch the video if you have never seen Flashing Tilefish. They were my holy GRAIL! Just awesome and easy to keep. BTW all the fish are eating FLAKE and I feed protein enhanced Mysis once or twice a week.

DETAILS-

Price $700 must take EVERYTHING

$ 9/lb of live rocks ? wow...you paid way way too much.

Welcome to Reef Discussion Forum........:signwelcomespin:
They should have been 7.99 but thats not too much. Are you not familiar with specialty rock? My show tank is 100% Marshall island and you cant even buy that anymore... And coraline is my specialty. Ive also been contracted to build the aquatics section of 3 fish stores when I was younger and onwed a servicing company. But yeah, Ive not a clue.

So no, I paid a premuim price. Ive been doing this for 25 years BTW... You have no idea WHAT rock I paid that for do you... When you have the financial means, you can get some pretty ridiculous quality...

But I bought the best rock I could find regardless of the fact it was going to degrade in a 40 Watt lighting environment.

So the only thing you had to say was "paid too much for the rock"... Yet I never said where it was from... Clueless. A pair of flashing tilefish and you ***** about the rock price. I doubt you have ever SEEN a pair of flashing tilefish for sale...

The price at HB is little more than other area, guess u didn't go Tongs b4
Tongs rock is a JOKE compared to what I bought... Tongs is a JOKE. Dying and FAKE injected corals. HUGE selection but HORRIBLE quality.

Normally I order the rock direct- as in off the plane to me after customs. This tank kept getting more live rock because I LOVE live rock and couldn't resist...

And no I wont part anything out- its all or nothing.

And FYI- Ive done this stuff for 25 years guys. I know WTF Im talking about...

Cool to hear from cool people but I dont need the peanut gallery.

In Line For The Tilefish Please!

Sorry guys! I feel you! But the ENTIRE tank is based around the tilefish! Sadly I need to get saltwater out of my life for a few years so its all or none.

Heres one of the coral tanks I sold though-

Sold.

In one day.

To all those who questioned... Turns out there was 185 lbs of rock alone...

I gave this tank away for 700 and you guys will probably NEVER see a pair of tilefish for sale ever again... All the fish alone were worth 700.

One day. sold.

And to those who aren't stupid and know of which they speak- don't miss out on the next Hoplolatilus chlupatyi you see. If you really want them. This was the only pair Ive seen for sale in over 25 years...

I would have bought it and parted it out just for the pair... Which is exactly what the buyer is doing.:eviltongue:

And whoever paid $700 for just that livestock and LR, is a moron.

Don't get angry cause you couldn't sell it on here, not too many noobs here, you must have swindled some poor noobie on CL.

And if you actually are an adult, you sure are one obnoxious d-bag that must be related to Ian.
