Been keeping a tank in the garage for a year now. I run a 1/3 hp chiller and 2 500w heaters in a 60g frag tank.

I have two frag system 60 gallon and 40 gallon as well as my 100 gallon sump in the garage with my 300 gallon display in my house plumbed through the wall into the sump. exactly what the above said get the biggest heaters you can buy and largest chiller as well. Your electricity bill will be noticeably higher but its completely fine to do.

I have a IM Lagoon 25 gal in the garage with just a heater and 4 fans no issues, and I have a clownfish breeding setup which consists of (6) 10 gallon tanks and a 50 gallon sump with a 300W heater and a 1/10 chiller no issues.

I have a 75 gallon currently running in my garage. I am going to add a 2nd frag tank in the next couple of weeks. I skipped on the chiller. Main reason is the cost, noise and high energy consumption. I have my furnace in the garage so for $300, I got a HVAC guy to add a vent into my garage. So now everytime the heater or AC runs, it cools/heats the garage also.

Rusted my Harley out pretty good. Also be weary of any tools. If I ever do it again I’ll incorporate some type of hood with exhaust to feed humidity up to the rafters near those whirlybird roof vents.

I have 100g bin sump and 5'x3'x16" frag tank and 3/4 chiller in the garage. It gets roasting hot around here in summer so I put in a mobile AC in there for the hottest days. Get an exhaust fan for sure, I vented the garage with an external blower, and I only run the frag tank at night, but it's going to be hot during summer no matter what. I also have large fan on a digital therm that kicks on when the garage hit 80. Stuffs going to rust though.

I use an AC Infinity automatic exhaust fan activated bu set temp and humidity. But I wonder if the garage rails rust easily. Would like to hear anyone’s experience specifically regarding the rails.
