Tank sitter

We will go on vacation for 2 weeks and wonder if there is any service for tank sitting while we're out. My fish are not eating pellet and we still need the sump to be checked once to make sure filter is running properly. Any suggestions?

Oh, that's nice. Our vacation is not until August, I'm just gathering info at the moment. BTW, we're in Fountain Valley.

Since vacation isnt until August, it might be best to initiate some fish tank training with a local family member right now.

Not only would you be asking the person to manage your tank, but youd also be giving them access to your home.

You should train the family member or close friend on what to do in an emergency situation such as topping off, water changes etc.

I'd probably get some IP cameras and install them in the sump and DT area. I have a camera for the DT and the sump.

The cameras also have 2 way mics on them that way I can speak to the person while guiding them through whatever process that needs to be done.

This is my sump camera. I always keep an eye on this camera while I'm at work.

Yeah, my dad and brother kind of live far away so don't know if they can make it every day. But definitely I will install cameras to watch over it. You have a very nice clean sump!

If i was closer I would have helped you out. I use to run a maintenance service for people in Rancho and Chino hills

I can help out since I am in garden grove.but only in case of emergency.

Put each days food in a little plastic container. That way the person feeding will not have to guess how much to feed. If you dont have family or a friend you can trust how about a local hobbiest. Look up the local aquarium maintenance companies.
My tank can go 2 weeks without any attention when i go on Vacation. After that it just need the ATO filled. It want 2 months with nothing but the ATO filled when I hot sick with covid. Granted that was not ideal.

We got a friend to visit every other day. It worked for us as we were gone for 1 week.
