tank trim removal

i was wondering if anyone could help me out with this? last time i tried doing it the pane of glass exploded in my face lol

I will tell you that it is time consuming and no fun. The two best tools for that crappy job are at harbor freight tools. Carpet knife with the retractable blade and a japanese saw. Both are inexpensive and work well. I used them today to break down a broken 40 gal.

I think that is just what they call it at Harbor Freight, not sure. Its a really thin saw with small teeth that you can bend to saw through clumps of silicone. Its really helpful when a razor blade or carpet blade isn't strong enough to get through without breaking.
