Made a field trip out to coral gazers yesterday. Somebody gave me a heads up that there was a colony of Vivid's Rainbow delight at the shop. Even Viviid is not fragging their colony yet. So what's an hour drive for a frag that I have been craving for a long time. Came home, did the inspection routine, dipped in Bayer, rinsed and then glued down temporarily.

This is one of those notorious corals that immediately browns out upon fragging and then can take a long time to color up again. Have to be patient with this one for sure, but then it is the beautiful (when it colors back up) Vivid's Rainbow Nonetheless, here is my frag from this afternoon:

While I was there, got tempted by a couple of pretty pieces. Always a bad thing when you get tempted and make those spur of the moment purchases but these were so pretty.

Ya those brown out sooo easy and also need to be blasted with light to get the colors going. I got one from vivid before the tank crash a while back. So beautiful when they're colored up.

Keep us updated on growth progress on the vivid rainbow delight. I love seeing brown frags turn into colorful masterpieces. It says a lot about the grower. In your case, I know it will be a success.
