I live in San Diego. Ive been to most of the San Diego fish stores that carry Marine livestock and products. Was looking for a semi-rare SPS called Strawberry Shortcake. Vivid Aquariums is the only place that I could find with really nice Strawberry Shortcake frags online. So I made the 6 hour round trip.

I really liked their display tank and of course the big show tank. It is 800 gallons of sexiness. Lots of nice fish and coral. The store was very clean and organized. The employees were awesome too! Just wished they were closer to me.

Bought my Strawberry Shortcake frag, ORA Belina, and some chemicals (really good prices by the way). Very satisfied, worth my trip.

I always tell people the same thing. There hasn't been one time I have gone there and been disappointed. They always have great selection and take the hobby serious. If people only knew how much they spend on their water system alone to provide customers with great product. I know the owners and they always took time to explain what a coral they sold you needs or where it needs to be placed if it isn't doing to well. plus their 2 week guarantee is unbeatable.

How is their fish selection? I'm thinking about going in a few weeks...

Vivid has an ok selection of fish. Their Corals and chemical selection puts them ahead of any LFS we have. Please check their website out. Their videos are awesome.
