I am using a ASM G5 that I switched the 2x sedra 9000's out for a single Bubble Blaster 5000 pump. I am extremely satisfied as it uses half the power and noise for the same amount of skimmate

notes: When it says "optimal water depth" of 6" to 7 1/2"... They mean it. I'm using a skimmer stand on mine because my sump is so deep. Without the stand, the skimmer goes nuts... Other possible options is to modify the height of the "outflow".
I love the skimmer. My total water volume is at 350 gallons and I have no complaints as of now on this skimmer.
