An American company selling LEDs to a Chinese company. There's some irony for you. :p
Why just make money selling one product when you can have revenue coming in elsewhere.

That is a **** near exact copy. Also they are using the term dense matrix led which is a DiCon owned name. Chinese copies will not blatantly use copyrighted names which actually makes me wonder if it's an actual DiCon dense matrix led.

How do you know Kessil didn't buy a Chinese fixture and market it themselves? Everything comes from China.

There is no way you can tell what those are from that picture. That is what all diodes look like before they are soldered to an mcpcb. Nothing is stopping them from ordering a custom blend of dense matrix from DiCon.

So I just got a message from the Kessil rep on Facebook after I asked them about these lights and they confirmed that they were knock offs. They said they only had factories in the US and Taiwan and that they were both strictly controlled. So by what he's saying, they're not licensing the technology out, according to this source.

You honestly thought Kessil would license the technology for someone to copy their light and sell it cheaper? LOL
