I never heard of any expo company handing out BL so easily and readily. I come from years of experience at Computer Shows (RIP lol)
Its not as bad as it sounds. It doesn't mean the business is bad in general....its more of a "mmm, thank you but no thankyou"

The irony is no such distinction would even be known if not for the owner posting our confidential business communications on the public forum....and far worse, providing conclusive evidence of his willingness to do so. A breach of confidentiality is a pretty serious thing to many people.

Breach of confidentiality? Was there a contract signed between you two? Any verbal agreement that said communication shall not be made public? Or at minimum does your email have a disclaimer at the end that tells the user that emails shall not be distributed or made public?

I mean seriously Kevin you told him if he didn't reply, the offer was null and voided. The user did not reply so the offer was null and voided. Basically you told him not to reply if he was not interested. He did just that and you blew up at him. Not sure what you expected when you instructed him not to reply if he was not interested.

Edited: Kevin for every action there is a reaction. I love how you blame the other user for posting your "confidential business email.." One could easily say that if you didn't write those carefully constructed emails then perhaps the OP would not have posted them up?

Nowadays our society is very public driven and we as people always blame someone else for our shortcomings.

People need to take ownership of what they say or write. This goes way beyond this one email thread but to life in general with regards to our society.

Word travels fast. I'm just suggesting that you realize that nothing is ever really confidential and we should realize that things become public that we don't want at times.

Please stop before you dissuade me from going.
Ahhh, how cute.
Lets look at the contestants shall we?

Man and wife team "A" volunteer their time, effort, and God only knows what else to bring a major show (consisting of many vendors) to your door step.

Man "B" cuts up coral colonies to the size of you pinky nail to sell to you for a profit.
Man "B" also proceeds to post private communications on a public forum in some pathetic attempt to somehow "harm" the show

and in your infinite wisdom your knee jerk reaction is to side with Man "B"

LOL!

now this is written well, and concise, and to the point (and all correct) Thank you for reiterating your points wisely instead of emotionally.

Hi Robert,
You know, I still remember designing those bags and conducting stress/fail tests in my backyard with a bunch of bricks and some manufacturers samples. I wanted to see what bags held up the best under the weight of water-born frag containers and other purchases....the last thing I wanted was to give away cheap bags that ripped half way through our show and deposited all your expensive purchases over the concrete floor. We paid a little more for the special engineering that went into our swag bags (and thousands more getting them through customs) but it was worth it to me. To this day people are telling me they still use their MAX swag bag for daily lunch totes at work, LOL. Its all about Details, Details Details.
Unfortunately, I am sad to say we had to discontinue the bag giveaways due to lack of participation and sponsorship support. Without the product donations it just didn't make sense to continue

A condescending post, huh? Thanks for solidifying my decision and proving what kind of person you are. Maybe I should post this thread on a national site and let everyone know your "volunteered time" is quite expensive. Post the complete pricing for booths that include water, electricity and tank rentals.

I actually go into that shop frequently. Louis is one of the best priced vendors out there. He is always willing to help with pricing and products. You have no knowledge of him or his shop and, your contrite, pompus response shows that well. You're just talking out your A$$. Boo-hoo.

Sorry if you got your feelings hurt because your high pressure sales tactics backfired. Trying to exonerate yourself by attacking other people is a classy move as well. I guess taking the high road is out of style now...

And to be completely honest with you, I am disappointed I will be missing this show. I cleared my schedule, got someone to watch my kids, paid off a CC to use. You have single handily ruined MAX and any future MAX shows for me. Bravo.

Hi Guys,
sorry, as you can imagine I am running around preparing for last minute things (and no where near ready)

Our raffle page and speakers page are up to date. The raffle page does not list everything as many things are given to us at the show.
The speaker lineup grew by one more just recently, so we now have three speakers each day

Both can be found here:
http://www.marineaquariumexpo.com/attendee/attandeemain.html

sorry for the short message but gotta run
