whats tha best most acurate thermometer u can get without breaking tha bank? one time i had 3 different thermometers and a temp gun give me all different readings at once ranging from 5-15 degrees thanks

5-15 is pretty cold, maybe you were just too far below the accurate range. J/K :loldude:

I think the main concern is consistency, not a specific number. I'd shy away from a stick-on outside the tank style; it might just be telling you that you have a warm room.

5-15 degrees apart like one read 77 deg and tha others read 72 and 88 deg i no it needs to stay at constant temp but what are u guys using for thermometers

I have a cheap electric probe from "Odysea" that seams to work well and a glass tube sticking into my HOB skimmer. I like the LCD readout because I don't have to worry about stooping to the exact right angle to read it.

i have a simple indoor/outdoor probe style, very very small, that seems to work fine. by that i mean it is typically within 0.5 to 1.0 degree difference than what the chiller temp is showing. I beleive i purchased it from CVS pharmacy.
