I have a 4' glass 120 I'm going to be setting up. The tank has the black plastic trim on it. The tank and stand were bought used and the stand has wondering a few things.
First, I'll attach some pictures then I'll get to the questions.
The stand was built to have the plastic trim sit up unto the 2x4s. The stand is level. **** near perfect at that. In past tanks I'd put a 1/2" sheet of insulation foam under the tank but because of the stand design I'm thinking of passing on the styro. Thoughts on this?
Also, there is a portion of 2x4 that was removed. Why I'm not sure because there is plenty of clearance for the bulkheads. Should I cut a new 2x4 and slide it in the gap? or replace the whole back 2x4? or am I good leaving it be?
Any opinions are encouraged and thank you in advance.
This tank is temporary as I have another 48 x 30 x 27t I'm rebuilding the stand for. The wife gave me a good ahead to take out a portion of a wall and commandeer a hall closet for my sump and equipment.
