Too much flow?

So I bought a brand new pump for my upgrade from a 4 gal to a 12 gal and I had to change it from its max setting to half cause it causes my sand to disperse in that right corner. Would perhaps getting a different ball socket tip fix this issue?

If you have a maxi jet style return pump they make valves to restrict the flow that can pop right in the pump return or be cut into the line. I'm not sure a different return is really going to help. One of those spinning IM return nozzles will really kill flow, but might be as much as a new maxi jet.

Maybe could add some gravel there.

Got some loc line with a splitter. the flow will be split in the direction of your choosing

Just get a valve to restrict the amount of flow
