The tank size is 36x18x24 and I'm not sure if I put too much rock in it. I would like to remove some to make more room for my collection, any suggestion?

Hard to tell is there a lot of small pieces of rock? It's preference really but opening up the scape a little will help with overall flow.

Can you just transfer it to your sump. That way you still ha e it doing work in your system but you don't have to look at it

You've seemed to pack it in every where. I would take out 1/4 of what you want at a time. Then just keep an eye on your params. If you see them go out of sack you know you can't take out more. I'm sure you'll be fine though

I think it's hard to have TOO much rock in a system. The only limiting factor is your aesthetic taste and available space for livestock. Your setup reminds me of the rock wall aquascapes that were all the rage in the 90's. Nothing wrong with it. If you want to open up some space then go for it. Too much rock? No.

I completely agree. I don't think you can have too much rock but so much not night not be that appealing. I would remove a little at a time from what you want to remove like Chris said. Your fish would like more swimming space as well
