here's a pic of the zoa frag right when I put it in my tank after picking it up from tropical reefs bbq (thanks for the good food and hospitality guys!). I'll get my more "official", recent pic posted tomorrow with measurements, and head count.
Edit: haha after reading some of the previous posts, I realize not only how late I am with posing first picks, but also how I've already disqualified myself by gluing the frag onto my rock haha, I just wanted to do this for fun anyway.I'll still post before and after picks, and I'll try and figure out how to properly post pics to this forum, so that I can show you all my tank, I'm a newcomer.
tank parameters I use tap water mixed with instant ocean, I do not"dose", I have about 150 gallon system, with about 130g wet. I run a small protein skimmer, and carbon. I feed frozen salmon, nori, and occasionally flakes. About 200+lbs of rock and 200 lbs of sand. my water changes are pretty rare by the standards I here most people claim, everything is doing well. I'm not saying this approach is for everyone. I think my various algae in my sump and the combination of many different beneficial Copepod colonies from many different setups that I have combined into one tank may be another reason for the tanks stability, but like I said I am a newcomer, perhaps one day I'll switch my tank keeping tendencies, but of it ain't broke I won't try'en fix it. Well hello to all, hope I didn't get anyones feathers too ruffled.
