so I just picked up a tunze osmolator and notice that the float switch is attached onto the sump wall by a magnet. my concern is with the exposed magnet. should I silicone it up so the magnet has no chance of leaking or should I use it as it? I've heard to many horror stories about magnets crashing a system. any input will be greatly appreciated thanks!

Dang, i didn't know they were like that. Lemme know if I can help ya on that. If the magnets are German rust poof ones, then it shouldn't and I guess you can visually check and see it if it does instead of it being seal behind black silicone or plastic like many other magnets in this industry are.

It's already in the tank James. I hear you're having issues with your apex. Let me have it for a few months to do quality control on it :)
