valida is forgiving?

hey all is valida a more forgiving sps? would you recomend for beginer/intermediate? I have been having sucess with testing new lighting with montipora, birdsnest, digi and I am looking to expand slowly to more types of easier sps. Would you recomend valida? If not what would you recomend? Thanks!

should be fine keeping most sps.
the questions is really can you keep their color
some types may just turn brown if don't respond to lighting is or water is unstable

my valida is my first acro to brown out if anything in my tank goes wrong, ive heard the same from steve garrett about his valida. i wouldnt say its a super stable one my friend.

i dont think validas are that forgiving well depends on where you get it. try some slimers or torts

Purp bonsai likes lower light, not a fast grower for me tho.

Try to get a coral that's captive grown, it helps even more if it's been around in several different peoples tanks and refragged several times. As mentioned before the Cali tort and the green slimmer are great choices.

You should be ok with any Aquacultured Validia. The ORA tri color validia is a pretty easy coral to keep. Like others posted it does fade to tan when the parameters are off. When its healthy though it has a bright green skin with purple blue tips. I have a mini colony of this and its one of my favorites. Kind of weird though.... Ive been selling frags from my tank and no one has asked for a piece of it. I think its a beautiful coral.

the most forgiving acro in my tank is garf bonzai... that is a validia... aways stays a hint of purple, especially after a crash...

I agree that there's a noticeable difference between the two. I was basing it on more or less the growth structure. zoomed in on ur example pic and im still not convinced. here's a better example for the valida.
