I’ve been in and off in the hobby since 2008 and I’m nowhere near an expert or even want to give my input on things just because I’m not confident in my experience on thing in the hobby.

With that being said….I consider myself a nice person and if I sell thing I try to sell it for a reasonable price and maybe even lower. I try to help a new hobbyist with some equipment I posted for sale on here and offer up. But long story short I said I can do $140 total for the aquamaxx skimmer and ATO to help out just because everything so expensive now. But the person insist on it being lower, gas is high can you include lunch. I’m like wtf. I tried my best not to be a-hole and just ended the discussion after that.

Sorry for the run in sentences and not putting my punctuation where it need to be. Not the greatest lol.

Changing the subject I’ve been looking for a light for my sump so I can put some chaeto or couple of frags. Any recommendations?

Amazon bro. I don’t like to buy second fuge lights unless it’s great condition. Most of the ones I’ve bought before were somewhat rusted. Just search grow light. And depending on the algae you’re growing check to see what spectrum it likes.

Yeah dude. That and is it available still? Reply yes and then never hear anything again. FB marketplace is the worst. I've posted stuff for free there and people want the damn stuff delivered.

Amazon grow lights work well. I just got recommended one here and it's great so far. I want to say in the 20-30 dollar range.

I'm at the point where I just want to trade stuff and not sell. But to be honest, I would just say no and move on. It's not worth the hassle going back and forth with these people. Things are tough for everyone, but if they can't afford another $10 - $20 of the asking price, then maybe they picked the wrong hobby? I hate lowballers, so as soon as I get the wiff of one, I simply move on. There are plenty of good people here in this hobby and I tend to pay it forward as much as I can, but I'll shut down someone if I get a "vibe" from them.

That's the best way, save yourself from headaches if you can. The thing to remember is that you're not alone in dealing with this, most of us have been through it.
