Catalina goby's live in colder waters, so you won't be able to keep one in a reef. It will eventually perish.

And ventralis are finicky eaters. Buy some that are already eating and established.

Don't! Ventralis anthias need multiple feedings a day and it is very difficult to get them to eat at all. Because their stomachs are very small long term survival requires at least 4 or 5 feedings a day,
The Catalina Goby is a cool water fish that will not tolerate the warmer temperatures most of us keep out tanks at. Unless you are setting up a cold water tank, pass on it.

From readings they look really hard to take care of. If you are not able to feed them that many times a day then I wouldn't do it. There is a reason why not a lot of people have them. They are considered expert level. I would definitely quarantined them and try to get them to eat first before going into a display tank.
