Dear Aquarium Enthusiast,
It is with great Joy to announce the release of the long awaited "Cerebra" Controller.
History
Starting 2009, we began to conceptualize the Vertex Controller. 2012 saw the first iterations which received coverage at major exhibitions. The end of 2012 was a major disruption to the project; Cloud Computing was fast becoming a very real, very important future requirement for most if not all interactive Platforms. As it stood, the system was a completed product, but one that did not brandish Full Cloud functionality. We arrived at a major cross road; do we release the product as is, potentially punishing the early adopters? Or do we go back to the drawing board to enable it with Future-proof Cloud architecture?
This problem was debated for all of an instant before we undertook the latter route. Now, after four eventful years of progress, we are proud to share the Cerebra with you -- behind it, a single core philosophy:
Cerebra represents the most interactive medium from which our Community can control their systems, exchange information, and build a resource database.
As it grows, the Cerebra will not just function as a controller; it will become an information resource to assist with managing your system based on actual data. It will answer common and not-so-common questions such as:
"Which method(s) produced better results to achieve [result]?"
"What has historically been optimal [parameter] Levels for SPS systems?"
"What are the average data sets of successful systems similar to mine?"
All of these answered based on real cloud data generated by users around the world.
Welcome to the Aquarium 2.0
We realize the goal is an ambitious one that we will not reach alone. To earmark this, Cerebra system will be offered as an 'Open source' platform with minimal proprietary equipment required.
Additionally, we will release a limited number of units as Open Beta* for sale at industry price of $374.99 (Regular $699.99 / Save $325
) in order to drive adoption.**
* The hardware is at its ABSOLUTE mature state and is not scheduled any future updates.
Briefly, there will be a 'Share and Support' forum open to all Cerebra users to post suggestions, improvements, experience, issues/glitches and fixes at www.cerebra.club. With your aid, we will make Cerebra the most ground-shaking and important advancement the aquarium hobby has ever seen. We hope you will be as proud of owning and using Cerebra as we are of making them for you.
