Vertex omega 150

I've got a vertex omega 150 and I would like to swap out the pump for something modern (dc). I've heard people using varios pumps on them but I know sicce makes some dc pumps and the original pump is similar to a psk 400.

Do you guys think it would be worth it to upgrade the pump and which one, or just get a new skimmer all together?

If my route ends up being a replacement I'll post my process here.

If this has an external pump, easy swap. A skimmer is mostly just the pump. So if the body works for you, it’s worth it

Thats true. It's not like I'm low on sump space either so footprint is not an issue

I have an apex but most of these new dc pumps have nice wifi controllers
