I have an MP40 for a 90gal 4' tank and it's perfect. So, I'd say the MP60 would be fine for your 6 footer. You can control the flow so it's all good. :)

I have the mp60 in my 6 foot tank. Works perfect! a bit noisy but the flow is incredible!

I've seen one on a 5' tank and it was turned way down so it should be plenty of flow. Its freaking huge though! I can't remember how loud it was but if it is anything like the noise coming from the others I've owned in the past, I would pass for some Tunzes.

Perfect size for a 6' tank but I don't think just 1 mp60 is enough flow for the tank if its a 180+

I wouldnt buy another mp40 mp60 or any of them, Louder than my dart pump.

Not happy at all with my MP40ES on my 220, if i had the money I buy tunzes on a controller, or go Koralia evo 4's on a wave maker

vortec vs tunze...

Countless threads have been devoted to this debate.

Ive tried just about every model of both except the MP60.

But what about that new vortec controller that gives you the option of turning it into a wavebox?
