Im just kidding everyone, I just transfer whats left in my 15 gallon frag tank into this Frankenstein 28 gallon bio-cube that was given to me for free..

The hood was customized by the previous owner to fit a LED panel so I slap one of my own. In addition, I got a 1 inch diamond bit from home depot and cut an overflow hole in the rear.

The other night I brought home a 55 gallon drum to mix water and decided to just go ahead to use it as a sump. 3/5 filled up with rocks (approx 100 lbs), 2 - 300 watts eheim heaters, and a big ball of cheato with a par30 bulbs.

Its pretty sad given what I do for work but yup this is my main tank at home. I somewhat entertain myself with it the 2-3 nights im actually home.

I hope you have those large heaters connected to a controller, otherwise your just asking for a meltdown when one fails. Stick with one large or two smaller ones.

The thread was brought back from the dead. Wally hasn't had a tank since probably 2013.

I like that sump! Hehe
Wow, This is the second time I've been on Socali in the last 2-3 months and I see one of my ancient threads bump up!.. hahaha... thanks for the compliments guys, That tank lasted like 3ish months. It was going strong til the bio cube started to leak. I ended up putting it all into a 20 gallon refugium. Most of the rocks and the light was donated.

The tank itself still sits in a pile of aquarium equipment in my backyard that I have accumulated over the years. Speaking of which, I should load it all on my truck and find a large garbage container to dump it all in.
