I can’t help but have a funny story. A few months ago I had a husband and wife come buy some corals of me. A few min after they left I got a text for the man asking if I was willing to sell my purple tang for $60. I laughed so hard, then replied with this message
“Hey bro do me a favor, go to a local pet shop and see what retail is then add 20% to that.”

Hey replied with “why add 20%?”

I replied with “cause mine has been throw full quarantine and pest free, plus it’s been established in tank life for 3 or so years.”

Let me fix that for ya!

“Hey bro do me a favor, go to a local pet shop and see what retail is then double that.”

Yeah, some people haven't experienced how hard it can be to get a nice healthy happy community fish added to your tank. Besides it dying it can bring the plagues and wipe out your tank, wither and not eat because of fish aggression or feeding aggression, or develop a taste for your prized corals.

I like the style lol.

But in reality I can’t sell my wife’s fish. She is doing me a favor of letting me keep her fish in my tank I’m more likely to give her fish to friends that I know that will take care of the fish as I would. When I broke down my 300 a few years back I gave a lot of the fish away to my friends. I believe I gave several to Jason what had that 700g cadlight the the seam blow on.

But my wife’s knows where her first purple tang still is. She gets so happy to know that her first Ariel is still happy and healthy.

I lost purple and yellow tang due to ick. I know medium large purple tang was $140 and yellow $50. But the price went up few months ago. I added refugium and bio-pellet reactor to the tank. Fishes health seems very well. I want to have yellow and purple back.
