My Name is Rex and I work at a Non-Profit Adult Day Care here in Loma Linda. Our clients are between 35-90 plus with all kinds if medical and mental impairments. I get to feel and see what is is like to wake up each day with your mood different, forgetting things, not able to eat and not having control over it. these things make them frustrated. So I would like to create something that at least would help them get away and relieve whatever they feel that moment, and that is through a nano reef at the office and a quite/soft classical music on the background. I have reef at home and it gives me great joy and stress relief every time I see my tank/reef, so I wanted to share the feeling.
Goal: My Goal is to impart to my patient what reef can do to a person. That peace you get listening to soft music and just stare at the tank. Since they are unable to care for them or even able to afford one and enjoy them in their home setting, so Im bring the experience to them in the office. A plan to make our office a hide out or a chill place for them, so when they are anxious or distressed, they can just come in and relax.
Set-up so far: This 3.7 Gallon tank had been long cycled and running, i added 2 leather corals and a Xenia, i have a damsel here, 1 hermit and 2 snails. and live rocks. I have reef light on timer, a heater and a thermometer.
What I need: I am hoping someone would be willing to let go or share some extra zoas or Euphelia or corals that you don't care to donate/give away. The corals donated will be solely used for this set-up.
