I run 2 in my 135, 800 watts jbj true temp in my display and via aqua 300 watts in my sump. The one in the sump is for backup. My tank never falls bellow 78.
His tank is at his shop and I'm pretty sure it gets pretty darn cold in there at night. Lance, I'd add another heater asap as who knows how cold it actually gets at night.
My 180 never gets below 77.7 and I only have one 100watt heater. But my stand is sealed and has a high powered exhaust fan that turns on when the tank hits 78.5
Our apartment heater went out and the service isn't coming until next monday the 16th. I got home yesterday and saw that my tank was down to 72 degrees. I was Running a 250w ebo-jager in my 105g which clearly wasn't enough so I added 2 more 100w heaters. Tank got back up to 76 lastnight, but woke up again this morning and it was back down to 74! What a pain in the butt...hoping when I get home today the tank is back up over 77. Gonna have to point my portable room heater straight at the tank overnight and allow myself to freeze overnight. What we do for our corals...
