I plan to do my tank swap this saturday. I was sitting around thinking about the order I plan to do things in and thought, shit I never water tested this thing. Really, I drilled the overflow and it didn't come with instructions so I'd like to test run the whole system to make sure I don't get half way into this swap and my water levels way to high ect ect.

I've been moving my tank, plumbed and on the stand around on 3 floor dollies. each are rated at 1000 pounds, so I'm sure I'll be fine. I over built the hell outta my stand but its still got me wondering if its a horrible idea.

The main reason isn't 100% out of laziness, no where in my garage is level which means best place to do this will be in the backyard or top of my driveway. I really dont want to set it down, fill it run it and check for leaks then have to get help just to get it back up on the dollies.

Whatcha all think, go for it?

How many gallons is it?

if the weight is less then dollies are rated for AND. They are completely level it should work.

Yea I actually cracked a 100g like that lol, learn from others experience, don’t do it, unless of course your willing to set it on the cement to test, or better yet, test it on tue stand. But first check all the seams for any irregularities, like bubbles.
I wouldn’t risk it...

Your willing to bet everything on a should?! If it’s not I wouldn’t.

Sorry guys tank is on the stand on dollies. Dollies fully support the bottom frame of the stand. No open areas, tank and stand was level before I filled it. Went well. That being said my new bashsea sump leaks from a seam so I'm glad I checked ahead of time. First time I've ever checked ahead of time!

No need to apologize bro it’s your tank, I wasn’t saying don’t test it just would have made me crazy nervous doing it on the dollies and would have moved it instead, but glad to hear all went well! Congrats and beautiful setup!

ah no worries that's why I was asking opinions, talk me off the ledge man haha

No what I mean was sorry I didnt explain the situation better and that the tank would be tested on the stand, supported and level just on dollies. I think some thought i meant just the tank.

WoW....New sump and already leaks ? Not good. I thought Bashea made great sump. Hmmm
It looks and feels like a quality sump but mistakes happen. There was no "pop" and I only filled it enough to test the displays flow level so I feel like it was a manufacture issue.
